Like Sister

Taylee copies almost anything Teagan does now days. She thinks she is just as big as her. I don't know what it is but I think it is the sweetest thing when they lay on their bellies like this. The two have the hardest time getting along the majority of the time. Taylee is screaming because Teagan has taken a toy away or Teagan is crying because Taylee has a toy she wants etc etc......but even with all the squealing and screaming they still have a very sweet love for each other that I know will grow more and more through the years. And hopefully if not, at least all my lessons on sharing and caring will set in someday right?

Icing on the Cake

Marcia has made Teagan a birthday cake all but one year so far, I'm sure you can tell by the pictures below which was the year I ended up throwing something together. She does a beautiful job and Teagan thinks it is so neat that her Grandma does it for her. PS. Yes this is the first year I didn't use the striped tablecloths I bought for her first birthday. This years cake!
Teagan adored this cake, she couldn't take her eyes off it.

You guessed right.

I don't have a better picture of this one on my computer, I do on a disk packed away somewhere. We had a beach party this year too. Adorable beach ball cake!

On the Sea Shore Birthday Bash

Well I officially survived Tegans first friend party. And I learned a lot from it for the next time! Her party theme was Ariel/Little Mermaid. We had the party at Lake Elmo. We invited 11 friends and had six rsvp, two wanting to bring extra siblings that would have equaled a total of ten kids. Two families canceled the morning of and one family didn't show so only three friends ended up sharing the fun! Teagans Grandma Moss came, Uncle Dave stopped by. And we called the three boy cousins at the last minute to come (Hayden, Tanner, and Taylor).
The girls started off with getting wet in the lake. Then we had sandwiches, chips, veggies, and jello for lunch. They took an eternity to eat their lunch! Then we played a few games including, fishing for candy and stickers, digging for treasure, and fish, fish, shark.
The pavilion at Lake Elmo cost $100.00 PLUS a deposit to reserve. We don't have that kind of money. So we called the night before to make sure it was still open. They said it was open but one other lady had been inquiring about it that was in the same position as us. So poor Brandon went down there at 10:00 AM to make sure we got it. Its a huge pavilion and we obviously didn't need the whole thing but they have every other picnic table chained to the ground where you can't even move a couple of them together so it was our best option.
The girls really had fun together. Teagan just loved being with her friends and family.

Four Years Old

Well sure enough my little darling has grown up overnight. And you know it is surprising the things that happen when you turn four! According to Teagan you don't have to hold yourself up on the toilet seat anymore, your legs get longer, you don't have to use the stool every time to wash your hands........
She had a very happy birthday. Brandon was able to get off work early and spend the afternoon with us. We went swimming at Rose Park pool. We had salad for lunch per Teagans request. And had a BBQ dinner with some of her favorites, steak, watermelon, corn on the cob, and bread. Last year for her third birthday I had to make octopus per her request! She really is a good little eater!
Her favorite present by far is the Mermaid Barbie that Taylee got her. Although she absolutely loved everything else she was given. She kept commenting on how lucky she was to get so much cool stuff, and it must be because she is four.
She also keeps making sure that we all know she is still four. I wonder how long that will go on?

Kiddie Parade

I think my favorite part of our Fourth of July celebrations is watching all the kids in the kiddie parade. It is such fun to get their bikes etc decorated and to be in it. This year was Taylees first year in it. She rode in the wagon with Oliver. At first she didn't want to ride in it. I plopped her in there after they got going and she was fine. Teagan decorated her dolly stroller. Her Grandma Moss made the girls and Teagans dolly dresses. Teagan thought she was pretty hot stuff! No judging this year they just handed out treat baggies to everyone. I love the picture with all of the cousins it captures the whole fun of being together.

Parade Watchers

Watching the Fourth of July parade in Sandpoint is always a ton of fun. The kids just have a blast, and its something we adults can enjoy too. The big parade follows the kiddie parade. Kate and Chris were kind enough to bring everyone juice, fruit, and doughnuts for breakfast so that was an extra treat. Taylee was pointing, and waving her flag and having a good old time! Teagan loved the Rodeo princesses, and anything that had music or dancing.

Cousin Birthday Bash

Teagan was lucky enough to be able to have a little birthday bash with her cousins while we were up in Sandpoint. Everyone had dinner, cake, and ice cream. She just loves being around them and thought it was so cool to have a party with them. After she blew her candles out she tapped me on the shoulder and said "Mom am I four now?". Too sweet!

Beach Bumin

One of my favorite things about home is all the great lakes and beaches. It sure is nice to be able to cool off when the weather is hot! We went to Houser Lake with Grandpa, and all the cousins. We actually lived in Houser when we were about Teagans age or so. The water was still a little cold but the kids didn't want to get out. Grandpa got Teagan some floaties and a beach towel for her birthday so she was loving that!
