She has The Skills

Teagan has never been the best at taking advice or learning from me. In fact she is awful at it and we but heads all the time because of it! One thing we have struggled with the past couple of weeks is her reading. She is so smart she has memorized a lot of words and tends to just guess the words as she is reading instead of actually going through the words. At her Kindergarten deal she was doing this as well and it frustrated me! I asked Mrs. Rodacker what we could do to help stop her from doing this. Mrs. Rodacker simply answered "I wouldn't worry too much about it she has the skills". Another thing she has struggled with lately is being thankful for the things we have and not wanting wanting wanting. Saturday morning Taylee was grumping about something she had and wanted something else. Teagan very nicely told her to be happy she had what she had and not to worry about little things like she was lucky to have it some people didn't. When I heard her telling Taylee this a little voice popped into my head "see don't worry too much about it she has the skills". Hopefully right?

Teagans Kindergarten Graduation

Teagan's class had a graduation last Friday. The parents were invited to come for a couple of hours to the kids classroom. We listened to them play their boom wackers and sing. Get their completion of kindergarten certificates, each student took their parent to the library and read them a couple of books, and we did a craft together. I honestly can say that it is harder on me emotionally for her to be finishing kindergarten than it was when she started. I'm excited we have summer break and have some time to spend together. I'm very proud of everything she has learned this year. She is a great student and friend.

Curlies

Her hair boings every time she gets out of the bath! It just makes me smile!

The Clubhouse

Again this spring I fall in love with our backyard and remember what sold us on this home. Such a great backyard with so much space to grow and play! I am absolutely itching to get our garden planted!

"On My Two Wheel Bike"

My 3 Girls

Photobucket

I'm pretty disappointed I couldn't get a better photo than this of the three of my girls. The first stop the light was too high and bright shining right on the location I was trying to shoot at. By the time I got here my battery was low and I only got a few shots in. The girls were also obsessed with the glass down below...note to self next time bring a broom! Oh well I'll just keep practicing!

Just an update, yes she still keeps me on my toes all day long. Yes she is still as honry as honry can get at times. Yes she is persistent as she can be. Yes she holds my heart, I love and cherish her so much.

Ten days left till this beautiful girl is no longer a wee little kindergartner.....sad! She has learned so much and grown so much this year. She is learning to read and write so well. She works hard, and loves to practice and share whatever it is she is learning. I am so proud of her.

Rainy May

We have had a rainy month of May so far. I'm loving it because it reminds me of home.

Landscaping?

There is a huge list of wants on my things to do to the yard. And there isn't a whole lot of extra time to do it in! We took an evening and cleared out the nasty bush and crooked tree on the side of the driveway one afternoon/evening Brandon cut the tree down with a chain saw and pulled the roots out with his truck! We had called for an estimate on a couple of the trees removal, we were quoted about a hundred dollars or more per tree, so this was one way to do it right?

May Day

We put together a couple of May day baskets for some friends in our ward to spread some sunshine. The sister I serve in the Young Women's presidency with is from England and May day is a big deal there, so she was very happy about it. I told Teagan and Taylee that once they put the basket on the doorstep they had to run as fast as they could or the person would run after them and kiss them. We had Teagan do the Light families house. She was so funny, I honestly didn't know she could run that fast!

32

Bandon turned 32! We had a family party with the Moss's. We had tinfoil dinners on the grill. They were DELICIOUS! Including shrimp or chicken , asparagus, squash, broccoli, peppers, onions, feta, red potatoes, whatever you wanted to put on them. Brandon's mom always makes her homemade chocolate cake for him its his favorite. I love and appreciate him very much, I hope his year is wonderful!
