Its a Girl!

We had our ultrasound last Wednesday. Everything looks healthy and well and it is a she! Teagan was able to go with us to the ultrasound I'm not sure she knew what to think of it, she might have been expecting something a little different. We are all excited to hear she is growing well and excited for her to join our family!

First Day of Preschool

Teagans first day of preschool was this past Tuesday. She had a fun filled first week and is absolutely loving everything about it. Her preschool is on the other side of town so we are having some schedule adjustments as far as having earlier lunches and a later nap for Taylee. I am hoping things work out ok after the new baby arrives with this schedule too. I am so proud of Teagan and it just delights me to see her be able to participate in something that makes her so happy.

Fast Healing

I think it is such a blessing how quickly children heal, why do we loose that over time?

Tay Tays Shiner

Poor Tay Tay got it pretty bad last Friday. I was out working in the garage tackling some of the boxes etc in there. She hit this spot twice that day! Once she was just sitting there and all of the sudden she was falling, she fell onto a Rubbermaid container apparently a hard enough object to scrape the skin open and start a little bruise. The second hit happened when Brandon was getting home from work. She went running to him yelling "Dada, Dada" and then tripped over her feet and went slamming into their little metal toy car. Under her eye swelled up into a huge goose egg immediately. It was a little scary because I couldn't tell how deep she had gotten the cut or exactly how hard she had hit because she wouldn't let me near it. We gave her some Tylenol and got her settled down. These pictures were taken that night before the actual lovely black eye came. Saturday her eye was so swollen she couldn't open it when she was in certain positions. Needless to say we have gotten plenty of comments on her now lovely shiner. Every time I start to tell someone what happened, she really eats up the attention, pointing to it with a sad face "owy, owy". I'm calling her bruiser for a nickname this week, my sweet little anry Tay Tay.

The Face

She pulls the most hilarious faces, but this is the one she really favors. I took it while we were camping so she's extra dirty. She is such a lover and can be so sweet, but boy is she anry!

Labor Day Camping

Every year Brandon's family takes their annual trip up to White Sulpher springs for a nice weekend camping. We camp up at Grasshopper campground. There are all kinds of fun things to do, lots of fishing, the hot springs, lots of animals to see including Elk and Bear. Teagan said she never wanted to go home that she wanted to camp forever. The girls had an great time, so did we. Somehow I got the whole weekend without getting pics of the other family members. Our trailer had a gas leak and the lights weren't working so it was pretty much just a nice place to sleep for us, we will have to get that fixed before next season.

30

I figure I better post something about my 30th birthday. Brandon really put a lot of work into making sure it was nice for me. He is so thoughtful. That Thursday he had a surprise appointment for me for a very relaxing facial and pedicure, it was seventh heaven I tell you what! Then on Friday he had a much needed appointment for me to get my hair done. Then we dropped the girls of at Larry and Marcias and the two of us headed up to Red Lodge to a lady in our wards cabin. We went to the pig races again and had a more than yummy dinner there. And spent the rest of the night in the cabin doing a whole lot of nothing, it was perfect! Saturday we went to the Red Lodge farmers market and festival of cultures. We had a nice lunch at Bear Creek and then headed home. Larry and Marcia were prepared to watch the girls another night so we said hey why not. We took naps, then woke up and went to dinner at Johnny Carinos then did a little bit of shopping. It was perfect, Brandon always puts so much thought into my birthdays and I do enjoy them even if they do make me older!

Sagea

Teagan had been waiting for her pet bunny since the beginning of summer. I looked everywhere in town for one. The pet shops all wanted $40.00 for the darn things and I wasn't going to spend that! So I called the 4H and got in touch with a gal that raises them. She had several litters coming up. After they were born she gave first dibs to her sons 4H friends to buy of course. She had three left at that point and we decided males usually having easier going dispositions would be best for her. So they set him aside for her. Her son took him to fair and won a reserve champion. As soon as the fair was over we headed over and picked him up from their farm. Teagan is very happy with him as you can see. He's pretty easy going, and very handsome. She named him Sagea. Hopefully he will live a healthy long life!

Cousin Mo Mo

Morgan came up the Monday before Kate and Dad left and stayed till the following Sunday when Judie was able to come over and pick her up. It was nice to be able to spend some time with her. I felt bad because we were having car problems with the Jeep and didn't have much money to spend. But I think she still had a good time with the girls. We went to Lake Elmo one day. We went to the fair one night. We took her to Candy Town USA where she spent $21.00 on CANDY!! She has the biggest sweet tooth its hilarious! With Judies permission of course we also took her out shooting which she really enjoyed. She's a beautiful young lady and I cherish the time I get to spend with her and get to know her more personally.

Dad and Kates Visit

Dad, Katie, Oliver, and India came to visit about a week after we were moved in. They had been waiting on coming over to see us all summer. Katie is due to have a baby girl in September so this was our last window of opportunity to have her over this year. She hadn't been to Billings since we were married six years ago! I'm so glad she was able to come over with Dad and see our new home and area where I live. I know when I talk to her about her life its always nice to be able to picture how it actually is. They came up on a Wednesday and left the following Tuesday afternoon. The weather did not cooperate at all, we had a ton of rain the majority of their stay. We were able to sneak some fun in though. We went to the Zoo, the Fair, Riverfront park, thrift store shopping, Dad went golfing, and Dad and I went to the temple together for a session. Teagan was still adjusting to all the changes in our life with the move, and had a hard time keeping happy while they were here. She had an especially hard time sharing. I felt bad the way she acted the entire time but Kate was very understanding. And although she was having such a hard time apparently she had a great time with India because she is still talking about it.

Oliver and his froggie he caught at Riverfront Park. Not sure how he stops long enough to see them, he is such a busy little fella!

Teagan and India feeding ducks at Riverfront. Which there were none to feed, very strange, usually they are flocking you!

Daddy on our back porch. He bought and installed us a new front porch motion light, and fixed my jeeps tail light while he was here. I'm sure he would have been happy with many more projects he loves keeping busy.

Family Room Downstairs

One big space for everyone. Nice cozy wood stove in the corner. Play area for the girls. Computer area, and still some space left over. I didn't get pictures of the other two rooms that are downstairs as they are currently the most disastrous of the house. The utility room which I am currently working on getting our food storage moved down to, and the spare bedroom. The spare bedroom is currently my work room, I'm working in it organizing boxes, girls clothes, Ebay items, baby stuff etc. It is a huge room and works well for it. The girls are loving having a play area. I just wish they would go down there without me being down there more often. Although it is nice to be able to work on the computer and have them occupied right there.

Our Room

Before we painted it had three walls a maroon color and one was a mustard color, too dark and eighties for my taste. As you can see from this and the rest of the pictures we are still getting settled in, no wall decorations etc. And we are missing a dresser in this room we will be getting one this month for it too.

Girls Rooms

Taylees Room
Taylees room before was a very dark maroonish color with pink trim including the ceiling. I don't love how the green turned out but it does look much better than before, and definitely lightens things up. The pink trim is still there which will need to change if we have a baby boy, we will cross that road when we get there right?

Teagans Room

She absolutley loves her hanging ceiling butterflies and her pink wall. She shows them to everyone when they come over. I'm sure she would love her whole room painted pink but one wall was good for me. I still have wall decorations I need to get up someday. After the baby is big enough for its own room Taylee will move in here and we will get a bunk bed for this room.

Teagan's room before had this lovely mural I'm sure somebody spent a lot of time on it.

Peek Inside

Our Kitchen
It has a ton more cupboard and counter space than our last home. The floor and cupboards are in like new condition. Not loving the blue but that can be changed someday if needs be right? I didn't think my table was going to fit at all but it did squeeze in and can be pulled out for company. It is a little tight and we will probably have to trade it out sometime. I'll be sad to part with it though as I love it!
Our Bathroom
Originally two bathrooms was on our must have list. But we settled when we saw how well the rest of the house fit our needs right now. The utility room downstairs is humongous and has enough room to add a bathroom if needs be.

The Upstairs Family Room

We have no furniture for this room yet but will be getting some at the end of the month with our tax return, can't wait! It will be great to have a cozy fire and relax with family here this fall and winter.

Welcome Home

Well we are finally here! We closed on our new home Friday July 24th. After years of working on our credit, months and months of working on the USDA financing, after two other houses not working out, we found our home that seems to fit us well on Clint Road.
After we closed we immediately went to work on cleaning it, and painting the three upstairs bedrooms. We were very intimidated by the painting but with help from a couple of good friends from church we were able to get it done. Unfortunatley Brandon's whole family was out of town and unable to help the other portion of the week. We were very grateful for our friends from church that pitched in. Luckily Dave was able to fit in coming over help Brandon set up kennels, and Taylor was able to help him get them settled in more. I don't know what I would have done without my Relief Society president and friend Brenda. She took the girls for almost two days straight, and helped me clean for over eight hours. We also had some other friends help watch the girls while we cleaned and finished moving things out of the other house as well. We were finished getting everything moved over and the other house cleaned out by the 30th. Just in time for Brandon's birthday surprise for me, a much needed nights rest at a cabin up in Red Lodge.

Front of House

Minus the side of house with another lawn area and trees, the drive way and garage which currentley has our "lovely" camping trailor parked in front waiting to get packed for this weeks trip.

Back Of House
The Backyard

At least what I could fit in the picture. I got the girls a swingset last weekend at a garage sale. They are loving it, it makes me happy they are able to have one of their own finally!

Our Deck
We are loving our deck, it will be nice on those cool fall evenings too.

You can see the kennels off in by the fence line there with the torn tarp on the top. We are going to be getting it more settled in with a small shed, and a fenced in running area when we get our tax returns this month. And theres our apple tree, Next year I'll have to find a yummy way to use them now that we have our own tree.
