Turkey Day

Family, food, laughs, horsey rides, camera's, games, Birthdays, black Friday planning, crisp fall weather, and a very thankful heart of mine for all of it now and in between. So thankful for all I have been given, even if things are tough at times I know I have been blessed over and over again and thank my Heavenly Father for those many blessings.

Keep On Moving Forward

Continuing to move forward with my photography! Thanks to one of Dana's employees Justin for helping me with a logo and designing some business cards for me I'm one more step ahead in my journey! I also decided to jump into the water and put out a flyer about doing some mini shoots next weekend. I posted it via Facebook, and hope to post a few flyers at a few local joints where moms tend to circulate. I don't have a large Facebook audience yet so I'm not sure the response I'll get, but again its just another step forward.

Preschool Birthday Girl

Taylee was pretty happy that they celebrated her birthday at preschool. I almost forgot to make cupcakes for it because I've only had Teagan with a summer birthday so far so I haven't ever had to bring any birthday treats to school yet. She was all smiles about her special spotlight at preschool.

Taylee's Fifth Birthday Party

Taylee had her birthday party at In Good Glazes. A local pottery joint. The girls painted and designed away, ate cupcakes, and opened presents. The party was an hour long so it was short and sweet. It was a bit different for me because I am use to putting a lot more effort into preparations for parties at home or in the park etc. Ryleigh, Emily, Lillia, Anastacia, Jordynn, Adalynn, and Teagan were all the artists present at her party. Taylee requested black and pink cupcakes with number fives on them. Black and pink are her favorite colors and have been for sometime. She was so serious about things, her little personality cracks me up.

Junie B Jones

Teagan has her official first love of a "series".  They are the Junie B Jones books. We found this one at the Goodwill , its the first she's owned, Junie  B Jones and her Big Fat Mouth. She started it Saturday and had it almost completed Sunday night. Luckily she had talked me into ordering her a couple from the current book order. I'm all about providing great reading that keeps her interest that much. I am so proud that she is becoming such a great reader.

PS. have I ever mentioned how much I love my camera phone? I wouldn't be able to get most of the snapshots I do without it, its a great sneaky way to catch them in the act.

Ady's New Smile

Adalynn and Taylee were running around the house Tuesday night gobbling and acting like turkey's. It hadn't been that long since I had gotten off work so I was trying to get a few things done. I asked them to settle down and stop a few times with it not working because before I knew it I heard the terribly loud bang, the very hurt cry, and then silence from Adalynn holding her breath. When I ran into the bedroom Taylee was cowered in the corner crying, and Adalynn just taking her first breath of air letting a pool of blood drain from her mouth. Initially we thought she swallowed the tooth. Our dentist is a super great guy, I called his cell number because I was in a bit of a panic. Her one tooth was gone, the other was loose and the gums were swollen and cut up, and I couldn't tell if there were nerves exposed or what was going on. He had me send him a couple of text pictures so he could try and access it. We ended up going in the next morning for him to look at it and after getting an xray it was confirmed that the tooth had lodged completely up into her gums at a bad angle. Since it was Halloween that day and the damage was done, we made an emergency appointment for surgery the following day. After trick or treating we stopped by the Lights and Brandon and Peter gave her a blessing because we were a bit nervous about the anesthesiology.
For her surgery they sedated her, she couldn't eat etc for the majority of the day. She was so sensitive about being touched she wouldn't even let the nurse put on the numbing lotion on her hands without it being an ordeal. She absolutely hated the plastic wrap they put around it to help the effect. But finally once they got the initial liquid sedative given to her she relaxed enough for the anesthesiologist to take her out of my arms back to the surgery room. Dr. Keller said the tooth actually came out easy. It was a little freaky seeing such a young, vibrant, feisty little being come back out of it after being put under, it was making me a bit nervous watching her body lay there a bit frail, eyes all out of it etc. I was happy to get her home and hold her in my arms, and have it over with.
Today the day after she was still a bit sore and very tired from having a rough night last night not sleeping well from being in a bit of pain, and the after effects of the sedation. I'm trying not to be upset her little smile is missing a tooth. I can say that I am very happy that that's all it is.  Our little ones are so fragile. There's so many things that can happen to them. I'm very thankful for the daily safety we are granted and for my sweet little Ada, I love her with all my heart.

Cutiest

Our ward party and Teagan's school party were on the same night this year so it was a fun filled night. Adalynn won the "cutiest costume"(not sure if they meant to spell it that way or not!) award at our ward party, and boy did she deserve it, she seriously is the cutest Cinderella I've ever seen!

Halloween 2012

A rodeo queen, a rock star, and Cinderella princess. I just love Halloween. So much fun to be had. I agree with my Teagan my favorite part of it is the costumes. Its so fun to see the joy on their faces when they transform into that desired something. We had a lot going on  Halloween this year and on top of it Adalynn had a pretty bad accident hurting her mouth the night before she wasn't feeling well. Taylee had a Halloween party at preschool earlier that day, and Adalynn had to go into the dentist for him to check on the damage of her accident. We started off at Grandma and Grandpa  Moss's house. Then went over to a neighborhood where several people from our church live. Ady was done early, dad another strip of a block with the other two while we waited in the car. We swung by the Light's house on our way home to give Ady a blessing for her oral surgery the next day. Taylee and Teagan were actually to bed before 8:30 so it worked out great! Adalynn was so cute, when she was dressed in her costume she would not let you call her by her name, you had to call her Cinderella. And if somebody called her cute she would say "I'm not cute, I'm Cinderella".

Jacks

We usually let the girls draw their face then cut it out for them. I got a pumpkin too but by the time we were done doing the three girls I was done! I just love seeing the girls expressions when they see their creations all lit up!

Little Pumpkins 2012

I absolutely love our yearly trip to the pumpkin patch. Something so simple can be such fun for these girlies. We got there a little late in the season this year, but it was still the same fun to be had, just less pickens, and a torn over pumpkin field from weather. Taylee picked out a ginormous pumpkin, Teagan picked one with a twirly stem, and Adalynn just picked the first one we asked her if she wanted.
