New Tights

I left the girls in the kitchen coloring and took advantage of their quiet time to get a few minutes of computer time. Really it was only about four minutes later when the phone rang. I was finishing up the short phone call when Teagan came in to show me her new tights................needless to say she went straight into the bath (and of course she had just had one about 25 minutes before that).
I asked her why she shouldn't color herself and her reply was "Because Jesus doesn't want me to Mom?". I agreed with that and went through the whole explanation of ink being bad for our bodies etc.
I guess this is what I get for taking a few minutes of Mom time while on duty right?

Easter Fun!

We were lucky enough to have a beautiful sunny weekend, Saturday and Sunday. I got work off Saturday, it was the first full weekend we have had to spend together as a family in some time. We were a little unsettled all weekend due to our closing on the house being delayed and complications coming up with that, however we were still able to really enjoy the time together. We spent Easter Sunday over at Brandon's sister's house. After a yummy dinner and the most delicious carrot cake I have ever tasted we had a great egg hunt for the kids.
Taylee was absolutely obsessed with getting the candy inside the eggs. In fact she only had four eggs in her basket after the hunt because she was much more concerned about getting inside the ones that she had. It just humored me to watch her take an egg and shake it to see if there was anything inside of it. Grandma Marcia tried to give her a decorated boiled egg, she took it, gave it a dirty look and tossed the thing. Too funny how young they learn about that sweet stuff!
I put Teagan's hair in curlers the night before. She was so darling!

One of Taylee's many I'm not happy unless theres candy in my mouth moments.

We were down in numbers with the kids this year as the cousins from Brandon's brother Steve aren't living in Billings anymore. We miss them when we get together like this, but are so thankful for the family we do have close by. Hayden and Tanner are so good with Teagan, they have a lot of patience for all her girly attributes.

Another Pretty Dress

Teagan just adores her dresses, and Easter was an opportunity for me to have fun once again dressing my two sweet little girls. It was a tad windy on the way to church so our photo shoot was short. Hopefully I'll get into at least Walmart for some quick pics in them.

Love At Home

Yeah for us! We have been doing so good at having family home evening, and really enjoying it too! This week we talked about love at home. Although the lessons (even ones well planned out for our little ones) don't always seem to go very smoothly, Teagan always takes something with her, and talks about it that whole week. All week she has been commenting on things she is doing that are bringing love into our home, such as brushing her teeth when its time, and not taking things away from Taylee. Teagan has really been into racing lately. EVERYTHING is a race, eating, getting dressed, etc. So at FHE this week we had a few races. The first race was actually a three legged race, itty bitty Taylee and Brandon were paired up, what a sight. And little Taylee just wanted to be a part of it and was laughing all the way along. This picture below is the pillow sak race we had. Teagan always says "I bet you, I bet you!". I try to correct her "Beat you" but she just can't seem to remember. I find it so curious how she is learning the English language, and the ways she ends up applying things in her beautiful little mind.
PS. Teagan and I kicked Taylee and Dad's patooties in the three legged race if you are wondering!
