The Reef
We went to the Reef on Adalynn's Birthday. Marcia, Larry, and Dana observed. While the girls, Tanner and their family friend Oren, and Brandon and I enjoyed the indoor water park. We had a hard time getting the girls to go, we were there for over 3 hours. Grandma Marcia made a darling Barbie cake for Adalynn that she just loved. David and Hayden were up at the Scouts Klondike Derby so they weren't able to make it.

Happy Birthday Adalynn
Time just flies. The more time that passes the quicker it seems to do so. Adalynn turned two on Saturday, and it seems her sweet spirit just joined our family yesterday. But she is such a huge part of it that it seems as if she has always been a part of it. She is sweet, caring, sassy, smart, and affectionate. She is just the right size to cuddle and hold in my arms. She loves playing wild games. She is really into babies and barbies right now. She will spend a lot of time playing with the poly pocket furniture just setting things up and looking at them. She brings so much joy and laughter into our family. I truely love her with all of my heart. Happy Second Birthday Adalynn Nora.

Little Man Shower
Darn it! I didn't get more pictures! Hate it when that happens! Put the time into coordinating colors, schemes, food, decorations, and then don't have the extra minute to get a picture of it all put together. I put a shower on for a gal in my ward who I use to visit teach. The invited guest list was a bit large so I held it at the church just in case we did get a big turn out. About 16 ladies ended up showing up. I went with a little man theme with ties, and mustaches, using blue, black and lime green. The cake I made even had the blue black and green on the inside, it turned out great! I had a couple of friends help me with the mustache cookies. We all made a page for her filling out a form that I had printed out before hand for wishes for her baby, and then put it into a book for keepsake. It was a lot of work and a ton of fun.
A Dolly A Day Will Keep The Frowns Away
Its Good For Something
Well its January and we have finally gotten some winter weather. As much as I hate the cold I love it when the icky brown deadness gets covered up with the beautiful white snow. As long as the roads are good to drive on, if its cold outside there might as well be snow. I'm not sure where we loose our love for playing in the white stuff, or at least when I lost my love for it. But I sure do love watching the girls play in it.

Ice Skating
The Girl Scout Council set up an ice skating event that we took advantage of. A few girls in our troop weren't able to attend because the event filled up so quickly. It was Teagan's first time ever skating, and my first time since I was about her age! She was so darn good! I couldn't believe how brave she was about it, she literally had no fear. When she fell she would just get up as quick as she could and start again. She was going backwards, and turning in circles, it was really fun to watch. I was really proud of her courage to try something new, and to do so well at it! And I didn't fall once even with the two girls from my troop pulling at me the whole time! What a fun event, we will be going again soon!

Christmas with The Moss Family
Everyone came over to our house for Christmas this year. It is a lot easier for us to be here with the girls. We brought a couple of tables from the church and set them up downstairs for dinner then cleared out one for room for our annual talent show. It is mainly for the girls but everyone participates and I think its a ton of fun. Teagan sang some Christmas songs and "played" her guitar. Taylee made up a sweet little song, and Adalynn sang Jingle Bells. Grandpa Moss told a story about a horse he had when he was younger. Grandma Moss sang. Uncle David juggled. And Hayden and Aunt Dana sang a song together. Its always nice to be together especially on such a special day, it seems the love and joy is always so strong.
Christmas Day
Christmas Day is such a joy with young children...and a lot of work! We had church at 9:00 this year so we made sure we were extra prepared for it. The girls woke up and looked through their stockings and Santa presents. And then we got ready for church, we were so good we made it there a few minutes early! Our church program was really nice. We have a lot of musical talent in our ward. Afterwards we came home and had crepes then opened presents. Adalynn got pretty tuckered out so she had to take a nap half way through and opened the rest of hers when she woke up. Brandon's family came over for dinner and our annual talent show. It is nice to have family close by.
Teagan kept saying how her favorite part of Christmas was that it was Jesus' Birthday. I am so thankful she really does know the true reason for such a beautiful season. I am so grateful for my Savior and for his light in my life. What a miracle it truly was many many years ago under that new star when he came to all of us.
