Reeling in The End of Spring Break

Grandma and Grandpa moss invited us to go fishing this evening at a friends private pond. It was a fantastic area for the girls to fish. Adalynn was the first to catch a fish, she thought it was pretty cool till I wanted to get it near her for a picture then she freaked out about it. Tay thought it was fun picking the minnows out of the bucket to put on for bait, she also had fun reeling in a few with our help. Teagan caught 4 fish all on her own, it was fun to watch. We caught 15 fish overall. It was a fun evening and a super way to finish up Teagan's short spring break.

Makes Me Laugh

This picture just cracks me up. Hayden looks like a GIANT, and somehow Taylee and Adalynn look the exact same size little midgets, its just odd!

JOY

And our Savior did all he did that we might have JOY!

The Reason

Its fun to decorate and hide eggs, its fun to wake up to a basket full of goodies Easter morning, its fun to spend time with our family and friends. Its fun to get a new church dress and look our best. But the reason why we do these things is because of one of our best friends, our Savior. He was judged, forsaken, and crucified. He loved, forgave, and sacrificed all. It is up to us to decide if this was in vain, or if we will take what he has so freely given us and turn it into the beauty it was meant to be. I am so thankful for him, for his love, and his power. He is truly our reason for all good. I hope these three ladies will always put that first, and think of him often.

Easter Morning

Easter morning smiles!

Poor Teagan was trying to pull her loose front tooth out the night before and pulled the cap right off, leaving a pretty icky looking piece of it attached. She was pretty upset before she went to bed the night before, worried about kids teasing her. I was worried she wasn't going to want to go to church. Thankfully she had settled down in the morning. Not ready to flash any smiles for the camera though.

Spring Break Fun

I took Teagan and Taylee Ice Skating on Saturday for an extra treat for Teagan's spring break. Tay has been wanting to try it since Teagan did it with the Girl Scouts. She actually did really well. She used one of the walkers the whole time, and she fell A LOT, but she kept getting up and trying and by the time we were ready to leave she wasn't falling as much. They both had a fun time.

Eggstra Fun Play Date

The plans we had for Saturday afternoon fell through at the last minute so we invited the younger Light kids over for an egg hunt and play date. The weather was a bit on the cool side so we didn't go over to the big egg hunt we have in the past. The girls seemed just as happy spending some time with their friends.

Joy School Easter Hunt

One of the families in our Joy School group hosted an egg hunt for the kids and their families. They even had a special visitor come aka Easter Bunny. Adalynn really didn't want a thing to do with him, and I'm not sure why Taylee decided to be a frown face during its visit then again its Taylee! Its always fun watching kids this age and younger, you never know what to expect during an egg hunt.

Grandpa Bitton's Visit

Grandpa Bitton came for a short visit. It was wonderful to have him here. The girls love how silly he is, and love spending time with him. When he visits he is always such a help with projects that I've been wanting to get done. This trip he helped me build some shelves in the garage, fixed the lights in the kitchen, and hung a couple of shelves inside the house for me. We were able to watch some conference with him, went on a picnic at Lake Elmo, had bbb's and ate good food together. We went bargain shopping and out to lunch. And went cosmic bowling which was a lot of fun. I'm thankful he takes the time out for us. It helps me to feel connected with him, and helps me feel taken care of and loved. Thanks for everything Daddy love you!

My Daisy Troop

These are my little daisy's plus two guests (Ady and Tay have to come with sometimes when Dad is working etc). They are a super group of girls, 8 first graders and 2 kindergartners. Being the leader of the troop keeps me a lot more busy than I had anticipated, my helper has a pretty busy life of her own and isn't really available to help much so it ends up all being on me most of the time. I'm thankful for the opportunity to serve other children Teagan's age though, and to provide her and them with a fun experience that will hopefully teach them some great attributes to take with them in their lives.
