Entertainment
This just made my heart melt. Although they have such a hard time getting along, they do love each other to pieces.
There was entertainment on the stage throughout the day. We stopped to watch the dancers and rest our feet for a few minutes. Adalynn as always was mostly just interested in what was around that she could put into her mouth. Taylee really wanted to go up and dance with the girls on the stage. I talked to her about taking dance classes after she turns three and she was really excited about that. The girls were dancing on the grass to the music. My entertainment was watching them. Someday they won't be so fearless, and will grow more self conscious. For now I can enjoy them in all their silliness and beauty!

Saturday Live
School District two has a humongous fund raiser every year (Teagan's school is not a part of district 2). It is called Saturday Live. It is a huge carnival that fills pioneer park. It has over a hundred booths with games, crafts, and food for kids. The whole thing is a little overwhelming because of its nature its a little chaotic. But it is super fun, and the kids absolutely love the thing.
One Ticked Off Bug
Yet another horror bug story from the Moss Home this fall. I was in changing Adalynn's diaper last week when I could hear Taylee outside. "Guys come look, theres something out here. Guys there's something on the porch. Guys! Come there's something out here!". I went outside to see what was going on to meet this feller. One ticked off Pray mantis! I'm not sure if Jezabel had done something to provoke it or what. I have never seen one so mad! He had his fist up like he was ready to punch, he was waving his tail up and down, and was making this awful hissing noise! He wouldn't leave for a long time either. I'm usually not bothered when I see these guys, I use to think they were somewhat cute.....now all I can say is go away buggies!
Adalynn 8 Months
This picture with the bark on her face, and her looking down for something more to put into her mouth depicts her perfectly. She is constantly on the hunt for something to shove in her mouth! In the last couple of weeks she has been saying Momma and Dadda, it just melts my heart! She is officially crawling with an occasional army crawl here and there. She is starting to pull herself up onto things now too. She has the most beautiful smile, she opens her whole mouth wide when she is happy. She has beautiful brownish green eyes. Mom and I had decided that this was Hazel when Taylee's eyes where this same color. However Taylees eyes ended up going brown. She is eating just about anything from the table now as well. She is a very sweet and easy going little gal still!

Heart Beet
We were pulling some veggies out of the garden last week. I'm the only one who really likes the beets. So there are plenty in there still. The beets are a little "stemmy". Teagan pulled this huge one out that she thought looked like a heart.
Its been so fun having a garden this year. The girls get a kick out of harvesting it, even if they don't like eating some of the veggies. Look how happy they are! I'm so thankful we were able to harvest what we did. Looking forward to next year with a few changes!

Heavenly Fathers Answer To My Hearts Prayer
Well its that time of the year again. Canning Season. My mom didn't do any of this growing up. So I know absolutely nothing about it. I am so intrigued by it, and really want to can food for my family. I find it to be such a satisfying experience. Last year I was lucky enough to have my friend Laurel Collins help me can Peaches. Laurel had a baby the day the fruit came in this year. And its been harder and harder to get together. So I had decided that I was going to look up info on the web and try things myself this year. I bought two boxes of apples and planned on canning apple pie filling.
My first batch did not seal. We have a glass/smooth top stove, and I think that was part of the problem. I talked to the MSU extension the next day and got some help on how to fix them. Although the fix didn't end up perfect. At least it was only six cans to start. I still had a box of apples left and had been fretting a bit about doing them on the stove. I had read more information about how it is actually not a good idea to do it on glass top stoves because you can damage your stove doing so.
Heavenly Father answered my prayers with a call from my friend Melanie Morgan (she is the Young Womens president I serve with at church). She said she was doing her apples and thought she should call me to see if I needed help with mine. I brought all my stuff to her home today and canned away. I learned so much from her. She started helping her mom can when she was about Taylees age! I'm sure it was frustrating to watch me knowing nothing, but she had a lot of patience and was so sweet about everything. I'm so thankful for her. We ended up with 11 more jars of filling, four of them done a little differently to put in the freezer.
Its funny I was just telling Brandon last night that I think I can really learn a lot from her. I miss mom so much. Although she didn't always have a ton of working knowledge in things that I wanted to learn, she was always helpful and supportive. Its strange feeling that such a simple thing like canning can make me feel so alone and I guess for lack of a better phrase almost abandoned? But Heavenly Father knew this and answered my prayers with sweet Melanie. I am so thankful for her, and to him for knowing my heart. It sounds so silly over such a small thing. But that's the awesome thing about it, those little things in our lives are important to him too.
White Sulphur Fishing
Grandpa Moss taking a snooze.
Grandma Moss loves to fish. She has tons of fishing gear!
Teagan is getting really good casting and reeling with her new pole and reel she got for her birthday.
We went fishing in a pond of a rancher that Marcia knows up in White Sulphur over our Labor Day weekend trip. As you can see from the pictures plenty of fishing, but no fish caught. Unfortunately the weather was a bit icky when we were out fishing. The little creeks we usually fish would have been way to hard with all three girls this trip. Oh well at least the girls still had fun trying!

Seven Months
Seven Months Old, not quite sure where the past month went? She is so so so stinkin sweet. She just has a loving easy going personality that I adore. She has been army crawling around for a couple/few weeks now. She can easily sit up and maneuver around where she wants to go. Usually it is off to the smallest piece of something that she sees on the floor, in which if she gets to it she picks up, passes it from hand to hand and puts it immediately in her mouth. She LOVES to eat. If she could I think she would sit and eat in her high chair for hours. Totally content. She likes to say mamamama when she is wanting me or something from me, and blabbers all kinds of other fun sounds. She has two bottom teeth that have started to come up this past week as well. I'm so happy to have her sweet little spirit in our family.
Creepy Crawly
I cannot start to describe how much this disgusting spider has disturbed my day today! I woke up to Brandon telling me to come into the bathroom quick. And for what? To view this sick thing crawling inside the bathtub! She is so big she covers the whole bottom of a quart size jar. In this bottom picture you can see her eyes! Brandon brought her to school and gave her to the science teacher, it ended up being their lesson for the day. She is a Wolf Spider. They like to "head indoors" early fall looking for "prey"! And for some reason he thought I actually wanted the thing back so he brought it back home last night! I just have the creeps! I just know she is sending out some secret spider signal to all of her friends inviting them in to the Moss house for revenge....YUCK. YUCK. YUCK!
Labor Day Camping
Check out Teagans new pole. A kids Ugly stick, in pink which we got her for her birthday. And a great pink reel that she got from Grandpa and Grandma Moss for her birthday.
Ady being her happy easy going self.
We headed up to Grasshopper campground for our annual Labor Day Camping Trip. Its always so beautiful and peaceful up there. However we had a really hard time with the girls this time. The whole trip all in all was just a ton of work keeping them in line. Teagan has been having a hard time at home since she started school and I was really hoping the weekend would be a chance for us all to unwind together, that didn't happen! Oh well, we did have some fun features as always. Yummy camping food, soaking in the hot springs, and fishing. On the way out some ranchers were pushing some cows up past the campground we were staying at, they had to maneuver around our truck and trailer. Talk about a road block, the cows that is.

Ady's Chair
I had fun remaking this high chair for Adalynn. I stole the idea from Kate, saw hers when I visited this summer and just fell in love with the idea. I found it at the family services thrift store for five bucks. I ordered the fabric from Ets because its a lot easier to shop online for fabric rather than bring Taylee into a quilt shop. Kate and I were talking about all the cool fabrics you can choose from. However I loved the one she had used so much I stole that idea too! I bought some vinyl and spray paint from Walmart, and had it completed the day I received my fabric in the mail. I don't love the tray, and am hoping I can fix it up some how, we'll see. But I do love it, and so does little Ady.
