Sweet Spring Evening
After a rainy few days the sunshine decided to show itself a bit before the moon arrived. It was a beautiful night outside. I absolutely love the feel of fresh spring air, the smell of the blossoms on the trees, the beautiful colors in the sky, and the excitement of summer so soon to come!
Grandma's New Buddy
I felt so bad for Marcia when she had to put her little Cody dog down at 16 years of age. She was having a hard time finding another poodle that she wouldn't have to spend a small fortune for plus the cost of shipping it. She found this little guy and he is just adorable! The girls had so much fun running around with him, but he's so tiny we had to be super careful. Welcome to the family little Boo Bear.
This Guys 33
Brandon is so funny about his birthday. He went the night before and deleted it off his Facebook so people wouldn't know about it. Unfortunately for him his wife loves to celebrate and looks for any reason to have a party so he has no choice in the deal! We invited his parents over for a super yummy dinner. Dutch oven drumstick chicken, asparagus, salad and roasted potatoes. He's a Reese's fanatic so I made him reece's peanut-butter trifle for dessert (and a special plain brownie for Tay). Nothing spectacular but still a great night for a great guy!

Tay's First Slumber Party!
It's official, Taylee's growing up too fast for my liking! Friday night she had her first slumber party over at her BFF's Ryleigh Butt's home. All week long her prayers were all about how thankful she was to go to Ryleigh's house to sleepover on Friday. Friday came and first thing in the morning she was ready to pack her bag. She had loads of fun. Ry got to invite three friends over for pizza, tattoos, nails, ice cream, a movie, a walk, breakfast and loads of giggles. Tay said her favorite part was sleeping next to Ryleigh. Tessa is one amazing mother, I'm thankful to have her as my own friend and thankful she's such a great friend to my children. So now it is my turn, because Teagan is now dying to have a sleepover of her own.

It Was Her
It's too easy to point the finger away from yourself when you have two other sisters who are just as mischievous as the next. Yesterday in the bath I was putting dishes away listening to Taylee and Adalynn take a bath in the next room when I heard the that's trouble laugh. I gave it a minute hoping it would settle down, but the trouble laugh only escalated into a that's really big trouble laugh. I went in to see what was going on. The bathroom floor was covered in water, bath toys everywhere, and Adalynn was sitting IN the bath on the wooden step stool. Her laugh immediately stopped as she pointed her finger at Taylee and said "Tay Tay did it, it was her!". And Taylee simultaneously pointed her finger at Adalynn "It was Adalynn, Adalynn did it all Mom". I'm learning that sometimes it really doesn't matter who did the crime, as long as no serious damage has been done and kids are in good spirits.
Visitors
Teagan brought home some visitors from school. The first day I was so busy I remember her showing me the bag full of rollie pollies, and remember thinking I'd have to dump them out later. But didn't remember them until the next day after school when she brought home a bag even fuller, it had maybe 20 or more of them in it. Teagan! You have got to let those out in the dirt, they can't just live in a plastic baggie. Teagan runs and grabs the baggie from the day before, lets out a sigh of relief,"Its ok mom there's still a couple of them alive". This is a couple out of a bag of over a dozen. So she let her new bag of them loose. Then she remembered she had a few just hanging loose inside her backpack. We had to clean out all of her little treasures to make sure we got them all out!
And in the end she ended up keeping a few visitors inside for the three of the girls to play with. I love Adalynn's concentrated look as she is examining them inside her Lalaloopsy deal. I'm sure they weren't as happy to be our house guests as the girls were for them to. Oh well, their just bugs right? So the next day I'm making my bed and getting things tidied up for the day and notice a black something on the floor in my bedroom. Sure enough one rollie pollie had decided to prolong his visit....just bugs right????
Little Crush
First grade and this beauty has a boy that is crushn on her. I can't help but laugh when she tells me the stories about how this little Rance man "romances her". One day she was all flustered because Rance kept calling her his girlfriend and telling her how cute she was. At recess he pushed the limits by running up to her and touching her hair calling her his girlfriend. So what did Teagan do? What any lady would.... quote "I took him out". She tackled him to the ground!
Taylee's Test Results
After a couple of episodes of Taylee reacting to some different beans, we got her in for some more allergy testing. Sure enough it is confirmed she is allergic to the legume family. The Dr. also did some digging on her asthma since we've had a couple of episodes with her breathing getting out of control and having to get medication for it in the last few months. She has a new prescription to try for some allergies in the air that she was positive to. I have a lot of research and learning ahead of me to keep this little lady healthy and safe!

And there was April Fools in there somewhere!
Our kids are starting to get old enough they can appreciate a good joke. I was planning on doing something to them but never pulled anything off except for making their beds backwards. However little Mrs. Teagan decided to get her daddy. She switched his sock and garmet drawers, hid his belt, and turned all of his items on his dresser upside down. It was so fun to watch her silent anticipation, and complete satisfaction when she found how good she had fooled him!
Reeling in The End of Spring Break
Grandma and Grandpa moss invited us to go fishing this evening at a friends private pond. It was a fantastic area for the girls to fish. Adalynn was the first to catch a fish, she thought it was pretty cool till I wanted to get it near her for a picture then she freaked out about it. Tay thought it was fun picking the minnows out of the bucket to put on for bait, she also had fun reeling in a few with our help. Teagan caught 4 fish all on her own, it was fun to watch. We caught 15 fish overall. It was a fun evening and a super way to finish up Teagan's short spring break.
Makes Me Laugh
The Reason
Its fun to decorate and hide eggs, its fun to wake up to a basket full of goodies Easter morning, its fun to spend time with our family and friends. Its fun to get a new church dress and look our best. But the reason why we do these things is because of one of our best friends, our Savior. He was judged, forsaken, and crucified. He loved, forgave, and sacrificed all. It is up to us to decide if this was in vain, or if we will take what he has so freely given us and turn it into the beauty it was meant to be. I am so thankful for him, for his love, and his power. He is truly our reason for all good. I hope these three ladies will always put that first, and think of him often.
