Hobby

These two benches were hiddious when I picked them up at St. V's for $6.00 a piece. Easy as pie to give them a new look with a little spray paint and darling new fabric! The only hard part was picking out the fabric too many choices!

I asked Brandon what he was thinking about last night. I got the answer I do about 75% of the time, hunting, things he would like to shoot, places he'd like to go hunt etc. I told him it was funny he thought about these things so much, I don't ever just sit and think of vacations I'd like to take, or places I'd like to go. He replied to me "But you do think about your projects don't you?" I sat there thinking about it for a moment, and yes, I actually have been thinking a lot about different projects I would like to do, growth charts, painting Adalynn's room, embroidered family picture, throw pillows, fabric wall hangings, giant tissue paper flowers.....you get the picture. So of course my answer was yes. And his reply was "Well that's your hobby and hunting is mine". Thanks for clarifying that honey! I really haven't taken time out for creating outside of a few things for the girls and for church since we've been married. And you know what? It feels darn right good to squeeze in a few minutes between diapers, laundry, meals....to create personal things for our home. I know they aren't perfect and elaborate, but it is fun, and yes, it is my hobby! (Thanks Kate!)

Adaylynn 4 Months

I went out this weekend to get her four month pictures taken. I ventured out with the the two of us. And it didn't go to well! Very hard, since she isn't sitting up by herself it was hard to pose her. And the first pics I took with the blue door were kind of in an "interesting" part of downtown. She fell over at one point and landed on the side of her face, you can see her pink cheek from it in the top picture. She's just goin "what the heck are you doing with me mom?". My sweetheart is just a doll. She loves her family and has a very beautiful smile. When she is her happiest it is an open mouth smile. One of my favorite things she does is when I put her pappoo in at night she grabs my hand/arm with her two little hands and pulls it to her chest to cuddle with it. She's getting a bit better at sleeping more at night, she has good nights and bad ones. She is starting to really study everything around her. We all are so happy to have her in our family!

Graduation

Teagan graduated from Preschool last week. I am so proud of everything she has learned this year. One of her teachers said Teagan is a very smart girl and is a very good friend. She said she has such a sweet personality that everyone just loves her and wants to be around her. Teagan is super excited to go to Kindergarten in the fall but sad to leave her old teachers and friends. I really love my sweet Teagan. I think she is very bright and has a very strong heart. Taylee is somewhere behind us causing trouble getting into whatever she can as usual.

Teagan and her second semester special high school teacher getting her "diploma" or what Teagan thought was a Map.

Look at that missing tooth!

Ady

Oh she is sweet! My little buddy is with me everywhere I go. She is such a doll. She will be four months old this week. She is giggling some. Has found her hands, and loves to put anything in their reach toward her mouth. She is full of smiles, but somewhat serious as she watches and learns from things around her. I actually started giving her a tiny bit of mush this past week because she is seeming so hungry all the time. It is seeming to help tide her over. Look at those thighs! They barely fit through the Bumbo!

Dreams Come True

Isn't it so cute? Not perfect (the paint job that is) by any means, but I am so happy with our little red barn! Ever since I moved to Montana eight years ago I've adored red barns. And now I kinda sorta have my own! Thanks to Dad, Chris, and Brandon!
The first batch of chickens moved out yesterday. I'm not going to move out the other three until they have grown a bit more. We still need to put the fencing on the back, we hope the weather holds up this week so we can get it done! That and my 10 other outside projects I'm wanting to do! The girls are having so much fun with all of it. They are super excited to have chickens.

The one with the fuzzy feet is definitely not a bantam as he was suppose to be. He is a Brahma chicken, which is one of the largest breeds! Really hoping he is a she! Aren't they so fun!

Growing

So so excited! Our neighbor down the street came and tilled up an area for us for our garden! The girls think its a glorified sandbox right now. Saturday they had somehow convinced Brandon to fill their sand buckets with water. They dug a hole filled it with the water and went wading in it. I came outside to them covered up to their knees in mud. I was on the phone with dad so I couldn't do much at the time. So with this extra time they decided they didn't like their wet pants, so they took them off. So there they were hanging out in the backyard up to their knees in mud in their t-shirts and underwear. It was a huge mess to clean up, but oh well that's what childhood is about. We are all super excited to get the garden set up and planted. We are going to get some manure this week from the Lites in our ward. I just can't wait to get growing!

Mothers Day & Naked Bums

What a beautiful day. Its been a difficult and sweet day since Mom died. The longer time goes by the more I love and appreciate her. I am so thankful for the lessons she taught me. I am so thankful for her love and support and the fact that I can still feel that. I am thankful to have the blessing of being a mother. I love my girls with all my heart. The sweetest present they gave me was on Sunday morning. It was almost 8:00am, I told Brandon he better get up and get going to take care of a family in our wards animals. He said "Aren't the girls awake?" I thought I had heard them but we hadn't had our morning invasion yet so I wasn't sure what was going on. He got out of bed and went to check on them. With giggles and smiles Teagan told Brandon they were staying in bed to let mom sleep in on Mothers day! This idea was all them. Very sweet and by far the best mothers day present they could give me! Also my other favorite present was from Adalynn, she giggled for her first time! It was so so stinkin cute! The girls had made gifts with Grandma Moss to give to me earlier that week and were so excited to give them to me. Brandon bought me some great flowers and my new favorite necklace (I'll have to post a picture of it).
We were so proud we actually got to church a few minutes early. Then the reality, we were sitting there in the middle of sacrament. Taylee was squirming around in my lap. She lifted up her dress and WALA, no diaper, pure BUM! Whoops, that was my fault I was the one to get her dressed. That could have been disastrous, luckily we were in the back row, and I was able to rush her out and slap one on her.
I guess that is the beauty of motherhood, we are so imperfect, but we can only try our best and hope that the important things like teaching love and honesty are what we succeed at.

Pro Chef

Check out this delicious PBJ Teagan made all by herself. PBJ's are one of her absolute favorites, she wants one almost every day for lunch. I remember when Teagan was about two or so she was in that first real independent stage and everything out of her mouth was "Teagan do it byself!".

31

Brandon's 31st Birthday was last week. The girls had given him new scriptures for his birthday. I also got him a dutch oven tripod and a new dutch oven. He had his favorite food of all Crab for dinner. I am so thankful for him. He fills my life with purpose and supports me to no end even when I'm not making any sense. I love him with all of my heart!

Wind

I am soooooo tired of the stinkin wind! We had four straight days of howling wind. And not just the kind of wind where you can still manage being outside. The one night it was so strong it blew the swing set clear across the yard (use to be where the bare spot is next to the small tree). And blew the little play house to pieces. This picture was actually taken after Dana's boys collected the pieces and put them in a pile last night. Down on main street a huge tree was uprooted, a HUGE tree! I'm not from Montana and am not use to the wind. It actually really gets on my nerves. Hopefully My girls will be more immune to it as they will be raised here. Brandon says this is the worse he has seen it though. Hopefully we will have a break and get some nicer spring weather so I can get busy fixing this mess, and then get busy on my other outside projects I actually want to do.
PS. yes that is the slide from the swing set next to the fence.

Too Many Pots Waiting to Get on the Fire

Ok, so after Katie came up to visit I got way too inspired. My project to do list is a mile long. And then I keep finding the funnest pieces at the MRM's that are just screaming my name "Joanna come fix me!". So far Brandon's being a great sport about all my finds. I'm really hoping when preschool gets out I'll have some more time at home to work on things!

First Loss

Sweet little Teagan experienced her first loss of a pet last Thursday. Sagea wasn't looking so well the night before. And I had worried he wouldn't be making it through the night. Sure enough we found him dead in the morning. I was really hoping he would at least live another day as it was Brandon's birthday. Last year on his birthday he sold Chase and it was really hard on him. So he's now decided its not a good animal day for the Moss family. Anyway Teagan was just devastated. She was up till 11:30 that night crying. It made me feel really bad because it reminded me of how great my mom always was when we lost a pet. I think the hardest part was she wanted to know if he died because he didn't like her. She wondered "why Jesus wanted him to die". So we did a lot of talking and hugging. As hard as it was seeing her sad to loose him, pets are worth it. We looked around town for a bunny and once again they are hard to find. So we actually ended up getting her a Guinea pig from the animal shelter on Saturday. Teagan loves her and was so excited to get her. She named her Rosa, which actually fits her quite well.
